Cork — beyond the bottle.

From wine stoppers to the Moon — cork is being rediscovered as a strategic material for aerospace, e-mobility, and the green transition.

The Material

Why cork. Why now.

Cork is being rediscovered by industrial buyers. Aerospace, EV mobility, and green construction now demand cork for properties that cannot be replicated synthetically: ablative heat protection, vibration dampening, impact absorption, negative-carbon insulation. This creates premium demand for lower-grade cork that historically had marginal value — and a structural repricing of the entire cork oak asset.

Aerospace

NASA Artemis II

Ablative P50 cork is used in the Space Launch System base heat shield — protecting the RS-25 engines during ascent on the first crewed Moon mission in over 50 years, flown in April 2026.

E-Mobility

EV Battery Packs

Amorim supplies cork composites for thermal protection, anti-vibration and structural components inside EV battery packs. Cork combines with carbon fibre and aluminium in new Tier-1 OEM contracts.

Construction

Green Buildings

Natural thermal and acoustic insulation, fire-retardant, hypoallergenic, 100% biodegradable. Cork meets LEED and BREEAM green-building certifications across new residential and commercial retrofits.

Defence & Industry

Composites & Damping

Cork cores in sandwich composites deliver 250% better acoustic damping than synthetic foams at equivalent weight. Expanding into wind turbine blades, armour, and high-power electrical transformers.

Whoever leads cork supply leads these markets. AIM Forest is positioning to be that supplier.

The Climate Asset

Carbon Credits. Real removals.

High-integrity carbon credits backed by living forests — measurable, verifiable, additional.

Every cork oak we plant stores carbon for decades — above ground in the wood, below ground in the root system, and permanently in the cork itself, harvested without cutting the tree. Our carbon credits are issued under Verra VCS methodology, third-party verified, and supported by FSC-certified forest management. They are not offsets to balance pollution — they are physical carbon removals from the atmosphere, locked into a productive landscape.

Standard

Verra VCS

The world's most-used voluntary GHG program. Our two operational properties are in the Verra registration pipeline, with third-party validation underway.

Methodology

ARR — Afforestation

Afforestation, Reforestation & Revegetation methodology. Real biological carbon sequestration on previously underused land — not avoidance, not paper credits.

Buyer Profile

Net Zero corporates

Designed for European corporates and institutions on a Science-Based Targets pathway who require nature-based, geographically traceable, EU-jurisdiction removals.

A cork oak forest is the rare asset that produces both — a premium industrial commodity and a permanent climate solution.
